Heidi’s Texas Hill Country Seminars - 2008 Week 1, “The Chicken Coop Cabinet”, June 15-20, 2008 This cabinet houses your CDs and DVDs. The designs are my own and they are painted in the Peter Hunt style. This is an excellent time to bone up on your stroke work. We will probably have time for a 14” peasant bowl and possibly for a 16” plate. You may bring wood from your own “stash” for the extras! Tuition, $225 for HCAF members, $240 for non-members. Wood Fee, $195. Week II, “The Aesop’s Fables Clock”, June 22-27, 2008 This is such a decorative useful piece. Don’t we need a clock in every room? This clock can hang on the wall, sit on a cabinet or small table, or you could even add legs! It is illustrated with 9 of your favorite fables. You’ll even have a chance to add embellishments. You were all raised with these fables that tell a story as well as teach a moral. Come capture the happy memories. This clock is being made especially for us! Tuition, $225 for HCAF members, $240 for non-members. Wood Fee, $265. Week III, Jo Sonja’s “Pirate’s Chest”, June 29 – July 4, 2008 A beautiful chest for your jewels! This chest features scrolls, pirates, a face and hand study, not to mention warring ships, volcanoes, clouds, the sea and a treasure chest! Hear ye, hear ye, Come be my guests, Ye Mates! Tuition, $225 for HCAF members, $240 for non-members. Wood Fee, $105. The Fall Week IV, “Madonna & Child”, Nov. 30 – Dec. 5, 2008 Tapestry has been used for centuries. We have really had a resurgence! Here I was inspired to paint on olde Belgian Linen. This piece can be hung as tapestry, or beautifully framed. Also, we’ll make time for a special centerpiece which could be used as a chandelier, if desired. Come celebrate the fall season in the beautiful Hill Country.
